Transportation Engineer

Transportation Engineers and Planners use their engineering, analytic, and software (HCS, Synchro, Traffix, Autocad, Microstation, etc.) skills to meet client needs on the full scope of our engagements, to include:

  • Traffic Impact Studies
  • Traffic Operations Studies
  • Environmental Impact Assessments
  • Parking Studies and Parking Layout Design
  • Traffic Signal Warrant Analysis and Signal Design

Requirements for this position:

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil or Transportation Engineering or a Bachelors Degree in a Planning discipline with a concentration in Transportation.
  • Ability to write in technical but clear terms

Post-college work experience in an engineering consulting practice is strongly preferred.

 

Project Manager

Project Managers lead teams of engineers and planners to satisfy client needs and exceed client expectations.   These individuals are responsible for ensuring that work is done correctly, that deadlines are met, and that all work is completed in a financially sound way. Project Managers directly supervise and mentor engineers and planners, and are responsible for these individuals' performance, training, and career progression.  Projects that this individual will lead include:

  • Institutional Transportation and Master Planning projects
  • Traffic Impact Studies
  • Traffic Operations Studies
  • Environmental Impact Assessment
  • Parking Studies and Parking Layout Design
  • Signal Warrant Analysis and Signal Design

Requirements for this position:

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil or Transportation Engineering
  • Professional Engineering registration (strongly desired)
  • Five to eight years experience as a practicing Transportation or Traffic Engineer
  • Significant experience interacting with clients and public agency officials
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Experience using the following software packages: Synchro, Corsim, Microstation, AutoCAD, Autoturn, GIS, Wintass, and HCS.
